No prospect since the dawn of human time has bought something right away without thinking a bit unless you sell a bar of chocolate or chewing gum.
People think twice or 9.786 times before the ultimate buying decision.
They always go through a certain type of process before buying. Here’s the rough process for almost every product or service:
Prospect becomes aware of a problem or need.
Prospect decides to do something about it.
Prospect looks up possible options and solutions.
Prospect picks an option and checks out different suppliers.
Prospect buys from a supplier.
So, what do you do to make them interested in buying your service or product?
First and foremost, you can’t make them buy instantly without providing value first. They don’t even know you let alone your product so they’re like what the hell?
You have to give something and not expect anything in return. In this stage, people might say:
Why is he helping me? Why is he giving this away? What is he trying to get? Makes total sense. But once they ascertain that you’re not about to ask them for something in return, something else kicks in.
This person did me a favor. I now ‘owe him’. And from there on out, they’ll start reaching out to you and potentially buy.
This is called retargeting. So, to sum it up, show them slightly different ads every time they scroll providing new useful info every time. You’ll see the difference in no time!
