The Perfect Way to Make People Take Action on Your Ad

Let me tell you exactly what you need to do to make people take action on your ads. This is so brilliant, and it was always in front of you, but you didn’t see it. Let’s get right into it.

Dinosaur Problem

Ever seen flying dinosaurs? Probably not but this would seem less strange in most marketing scenarios. Most marketing ads ridiculously try to do a ton of things at a time. Like, they try to get prospects to fill out a form,  sell them, give information, and fly a dinosaur. Which makes it hard for people to take action on an ad like filling out a form, downloading a guide, contacting for a free quote, etc. People are like; for the love of flying spaghetti monster, I’ll just skip it. As a result, the awesome ad’s numbers aren’t right which moves to our next issue.

Nuclear Marketing

So, people just play a YouTube video of a crocodile eating 43 hamsters at the same time instead. They forget about your ad instantly. Now that we live in a nuclear attention-bombarding time, it is even harder to get people’s attention compared to 127 years ago. That means even if you see a giraffe with a machine gun firing at close-flying UFOs on Earth, you may not be interested. So how do you fix that?

How to Survive With Simplicity

Simplicity always won in history in terms of marketing. It’s the same in sales pitches. There’s a book called ‘’Pitch Anything’’ by Oren Klaff. It basically talks about when you make a pitch, you present it from your neocortex which is the brain part that processes most complex data. But the person you pitch to perceives it into his crocodile brain first which is the part that makes things as simple as possible to survive. So, there’s a big gap in between. It’s the same in marketing.

That’s the reason you need to keep things simple and do one thing at a time on an ad. Like, get prospects to fill out your form or make them click the ‘’Send the guide’’ button only.

Make it easy for people to say yes. Make it very hard for them to say no.
